Textile Basics to Ensure Cleanliness, Quality, and Long Textile Life

Every laundry’s goal is to produce hygienically clean, high quality textiles and to ensure the longest life possible for those textiles. In this review of some of the basics of textiles, our experienced instructor will discuss the properties and behaviors of cotton, polyester, and blended products, with the goal of making sure every attendee understands how these products respond to the various processes to help them extend the life of their textiles.

Ironing Quality Starts in The Washroom

In this session, attendees will learn the various factors and influences of the washing process that can affect ironing quality.

Improving Laundry Efficiency Through Process Improvement

Lean Six Sigma is not just for Fortune 500 companies; it is used successfully by laundries around the world to reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve overall efficiencies throughout operations. In this session, attendees will learn about the 8 wastes of Lean Six Sigma and how they can apply to laundry operations to improve processes and profit.

Essential Ironer Maintenance

Lapauw ironers are designed to last thirty or more years, and should provide the same level of quality and throughput throughout their entire life span, but like any machine they require regular and preventive maintenance. In this course, you will learn the keys to ensuring reliability and durability of your ironers from a Lapauw service and support veteran. Included will be such topics as regular preventive maintenance procedures such as lubrication, cleaning and safety checks. You’ll also learn about required regular maintenance including fluid replacement frequency, padding changes and specifications, and so much more!
