IronMAX: Gas Heated Ironers Reinvented

With the IRONMAX, Lapauw has redefined the standards for gas heated ironers. New and innovative technologies give the answer to today’s and tommorow’s demands for increased productivity and efficiency.

With the first gas heated ironer that hit the market in 1995, Lapauw pioneered gas heated ironing technology, a technology that has become the standard and laid the foundation for the steamless laundry concept.

However, today’s production requirements explore the limits of current gas heating technology, certainly for the high production 2-roll and 3-roll ironers. The Lapauw IRONMAX gives the answer.

The first thing that catches the eye on the IRONMAX are the large bridges, each spanning over more than 1 meter. But that’s not all, as innovative chest design allows the chest to be up to 2 times more flexible than competitor’s flexible chests. Combined with the large bridges, the new chest design provides an ironing surface that is up to 15% larger than today’s flexible chest ironers.

The hydraulic chest lifting system allows flexible bed pressure per ironing program and assures optimal and constant ironing pressure, irrespective of the thickness of the linen.

Another mayor innovation is the parallel oil flow system, instead of the conventional serial flow systems that are common to the current gas heated ironers. Thanks to the parallel flow system, the IRONMAX assures a much more uniform and constant ironing temperature over the ironing surface, from the first roll to the last roll, which offers more evaporation power.

Never change a winning team, as they say, so the Lapauw individual springs are part of the standard equipment of the IRONMAX and assure up to 5 times more suction power than conventional spring and suction systems.

The individual, adjustable suction fans per roll allow you to optimize moist evacuation.

Thanks to these features, the IRONMAX is the most powerful gas heated ironer on the market, as tests indicate that the evaporation power is at least 10% higher than the current gas heated ironers.

The IRONMAX comes in 2-roll and 3-roll diameter 1200 versions and will be deliverable from end of 2016 on. The IRONMAX also features standard modulating burner and PLC control system with touch-screen and will also offer specific options like decentralized drive system allowing to modulate the speed difference between the rolls.
