Educational Sessions
Seitz Chemical presents Methods, Techniques and Management of Linen
In this interactive session, attendees will learn the keys to clean linen (without damage to colors or fabric), proper loading of washers, adequate hot water systems, techniques for the removal of grease, mildew, wax, rust, and other difficult stains, the specification and purchase of washroom equipment to fit a facility, and more!
About the instructor: Ken Chambless has more than 30 years of experience in laundry and dry cleaning operations, through ownership and technical consulting across the country. His current role is as the lead technical support representative for Seitz USA, focusing on the party rental market. He travels extensively helping linen plants become more profitable through ideas, products, work flow steps, and common sense. His motto, with each visit we must “leave them better than we found them.”
Tingue Brown & Co. presents 10 Keys to Finish Quality
In this session, attendees will learn how to lower the rewash and reduce costs by targeting the 10 key areas of linen processing and finishing that impact the quality of textiles that leave your plant.
About the Instructor: Ty Acton grew up in the laundry industry, and began working with his father (another long time laundry expert) in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1983, Ty took over the Florida territory for Tingue Brown, and has been with the company ever since. During his 33 year tenure with the firm, Ty has been a field representative, regional manager, sales manager, and in 2015 was promoted to Vice President of Global Sales for the company. Ty has a degree in business and marketing from Troy University in Alabama.
Turn-Key Industrial Engineering presents Eliminating Bottlenecks for Process Improvement
Bottlenecks are often easy to identify, but challenging to correct. In this session, attendees will learn not only how to identify bottlenecks, but also how to correct them and improve overall efficiencies throughout their operation.
About the Instructor: Chip Malboeuf is President and principal for Turn-Key Industrial Engineering Services, Inc. Chip’s experience includes both process engineering and plant design. Chip has two decades of experience in process analysis and layout design for the textile rental industry. Chip has been with Turn-Key since 2002 serving as Vice President of Operations and was appointed President at Turn-Key in 2011. Chip currently serves on the HLAC Advisory Committee. Chip also served four years as a member of the UTSA Plant Operations Steering Committee. He is Lean Six Sigma certified. Prior to joining Turn-Key he served as Engineering Manager for Omni Services, Inc., overseeing the Capital Project and Process Engineering groups. Chip also held positions as Project Engineering Manager and Division Engineer during his seven-year tenure at Omni Services. His other career experience includes design and modification of power distribution systems for nuclear aircraft carriers at Newport News Shipbuilding. Chip holds a Masters in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Western New England University (MA).
